UAE Launches Mohammed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity


The UAE launched the Mohammed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity on Wednesday, Mar. 19.
The foundation will be dedicated to philanthropic work in underprivileged communities.
The foundation will collaborate with other countries and international partners to invest in sustainable initiatives for the advancement of healthcare systems and the development of underprivileged communities.
The foundation was launched on Zayed Humanitarian Day, which is celebrated annually on Ramadan 19, commemorating the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in humanitarian work.
Mohammed bin Zayed Foundation for Humanity will work to improve and expand the workforces for healthcare systems in less wealthy nations and provide new equipment for tackling preventable diseases.
It is expected that the program will benefit more than 500 million people in over 50 countries across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East over a five-year period.
The foundation will operate under Erth Zayed Philanthropies and will encompass the Reaching the Last Mile fund.
