The evaluation service providers Compare the Market Australia ranked UAE fourth in their global ranking of 50 nations for affordable EV charging. 

Argentina, Malaysia, and India took the top three spots, making UAE the fourth most affordable country for EV charging.

The UAE scored well on the EV and gasoline metrics of the report, with 100 kilometers worth of EV charging, which averages $1.02.

According to the report, drivers in the UAE could save 81.77% of their fuel bills by using electric vehicles. 

The UAE has also landed the eighth spot on the global electric mobility readiness index, which emphasizes the country's willingness to adapt to EVs. 

The Emirates' EV market is predicted to grow at a CAGR of 30% between 2022 and 2028.

Enhancing the EV market in the country are initiatives such as the Global EV Market.

Dubai's DEWA plans to install 1,000 public charging stations in the emirate by 2025. 

The UAE also has subsidized facilities with several public places offering free-of-cost charging for EV owners.
