The UAE's Ministry of Energy revealed the fuel prices for August 2024 on July 31. Every month, fuel prices are adjusted based on the average global oil prices, after accounting for the operating costs of distribution companies. For August, prices will rise by up to 6 fils per liter compared to July.

New Fuel Prices Starting August 1
- Super 98 petrol: Dh3.05 per liter (up 6 fils from Dh2.99)
- Special 95 petrol: Dh2.93 per liter (up 5 fils from Dh2.88)
- E-plus 91 petrol: Dh2.86 per liter (up 6 fils from Dh2.80)
How This Affects Your Fuel Costs
Depending on your vehicle type, filling up in August will be slightly more expensive than in July. Here’s a breakdown:
Compact Cars (51-liter tank capacity)
- Super 98 petrol: Dh155.55 (up from Dh152.49)
- Special 95 petrol: Dh149.43 (up from Dh146.88)
- E-plus 91 petrol: Dh145.86 (up from Dh142.80)
Sedans (62-liter tank capacity)
- Super 98 petrol: Dh189.10 (up from Dh185.38)
- Special 95 petrol: Dh181.66 (up from Dh178.56)
- E-plus 91 petrol: Dh177.32 (up from Dh173.60)
SUVs (74-liter tank capacity)
- Super 98 petrol: Dh225.70 (up from Dh221.26)
- Special 95 petrol: Dh216.82 (up from Dh213.12)
