The UAE Field Hospital in Gaza is making a significant impact by delivering essential medical services to thousands of Palestinian patients around the clock. As part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, this initiative addresses the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the region.

Since opening on December 2, 2023, the hospital has treated more than 48,700 cases, including men, women, and children. From routine check-ups to life-saving surgeries, the facility has become a beacon of hope for those in need.

Advanced Medical Services for Critical Needs

The UAE Field Hospital is equipped to handle a wide range of medical emergencies. To date, it has performed over 1,780 surgeries, covering orthopaedics, neurology, and general procedures. The facility features state-of-the-art surgical theatres, intensive care units for adults and children, and clinics specialising in fields like internal medicine, dentistry, paediatrics, psychiatry, and gynaecology.

Its advanced diagnostic tools, including CT scans, X-rays, and laboratory testing, enable the hospital to deliver care that meets international standards. The prosthetics centre also provides high-quality orthopaedic care, prosthetic limbs, and rehabilitation services, ensuring comprehensive treatment for patients.

UAE’s Commitment to Gaza’s Healthcare

The UAE’s support doesn’t stop at the field hospital. To further strengthen Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure, the UAE has donated 10 ambulances and 400 tonnes of medical aid. This holistic approach aims to alleviate the strain on local medical services during these challenging times.

A Collaborative Humanitarian Effort

The hospital operates under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It is a joint effort by the Emirates Red Crescent, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, and the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation. This collaboration reflects the UAE’s unwavering commitment to providing humanitarian aid and supporting Gaza’s health sector.
