The UAE has extended its visa-on-arrival scheme for Indians, which will include those with valid visas, residence permits, or Green Cards from six new countries.

Before this extension, Indians with proof of residence in the EU, the US, and the UK only would be granted a visa on arrival.

Now, the extension also grants a visa on arrival to individuals with a "valid visa, residence permit or green card" from Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

The  Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports, and Security announced the extension of this visa scheme.

A six-month passport validity and the payment of the prescribed fees are required with the applicable regulations.

The extension has been implemented to boost tourism and attract high-skilled professionals to the UAE.
