UAE Dispatches 3 Planes with 120 Tonnes of Aid to Lebanon

The UAE is stepping up its humanitarian efforts for Lebanon, recently dispatching three more planes loaded with vital relief supplies. This latest shipment includes medical and food supplies, ambulances, and shelter equipment, bringing the total to 12 aircraft and an impressive 515 tonnes of aid sent to date.
A Solidarity Campaign
These flights are part of the two-week national relief campaign, "The UAE Stands with Lebanon," which kicked off on October 8. This initiative is coordinated with important international organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
The campaign was launched under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, along with H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, oversees the initiative to ensure its success.
Commitment to Humanitarian Aid
As the UAE expands its humanitarian airlift, Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development and International Organizations, highlighted the significance of this ongoing support for Lebanon. He emphasized that the UAE's consistent flow of aid reflects the country's deep-rooted commitment to humanitarian work and its responsibility to help communities in need during difficult times.
Al Shamsi stated, “The UAE has always been a global icon in humanitarian work, helping societies in disasters and conflicts restore security and stability.”

With these efforts, the UAE showcases its unwavering support for the Lebanese people, reaffirming its role as a leader in global humanitarian initiatives. This campaign not only provides essential relief but also strengthens the bond of solidarity between nations during challenging times.
