UAE Declares Public Holiday on Prophet Muhammad's Birthday

The UAE has announced a public holiday on Sunday, September 15, in observance of Prophet Muhammad’s birthday.
Prophet's Birthday Holiday Announced
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources made the announcement on Saturday, confirming that federal government employees will have the day off. This follows the UAE Cabinet's official holiday schedule for the year.
Holiday to Fall on September 15
This holiday coincides with 12 Rabi' Al-Awwal 1444, the Islamic calendar's third month, when many Islamic countries, including the Gulf region, observe the Prophet’s birthday.
Next Long Weekend in December
Residents can also look forward to a long break in December for National Day celebrations. December 2 and 3, which fall on Monday and Tuesday, will offer a four-day weekend when combined with the regular Saturday-Sunday break.
