The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned Israel’s recent seizure of the buffer zone in the Golan Heights, emphasizing the nation’s commitment to the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of Syria.
In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) made it clear that Israel’s actions violate international law, specifically the 1974 "Agreement of Disengagement" between Israel and Syria. This agreement, which was meant to maintain peace and stability in the region, has been directly contravened by Israel’s recent military activities in the area.
The UAE also expressed its firm rejection of such practices, warning that they could lead to further escalation in the region. The occupation of the Golan Heights buffer zone threatens to heighten tensions and derail efforts to achieve long-term peace and stability in the Middle East.
By reaffirming its stance, the UAE continues to call for adherence to international norms and a peaceful resolution to the ongoing tensions surrounding the Golan Heights. The nation remains committed to supporting Syria's territorial integrity and advocating for a stable, peaceful Middle East for all.
