The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (Mofaic) stated on Tuesday that the UAE had evacuated its citizens and other vulnerable groups from Sudan amid the ongoing conflict.
UAE has also given interim care to residents of Port Sudan who are of 19 different nationalities with the goal to prepare for departure. Before being sent back to their home countries, the evacuees will be accommodated in the UAE.
The sick, children, the elderly, and women were given priority during the evacuations, according to the UAE, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The action is a part of the UAE's humanitarian initiative, which aims to assist other nations in need. The Mofaic also emphasized the significance of stepping up efforts to get a truce and restart talks in order to bring about peace and political stability in Sudan.
