UAE astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi has posted a video of Egypt from the International Space Station (ISS) and paid tribute to its people.
"نهضة مصر نهضة للعرب كلهم، وأوصيت أبنائي بأن يكونوا دائمًا إلى جانب مصر“ هكذا قال الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان، طيب الله ثراه، في حب مصر ونحن على هذا الحب باقون. تحية إلى مصر، تحية إلى أم الدنيا وعاصمتها القاهرة وتحية إلى أهلها وناسها الطيبين من الفضاء. pic.twitter.com/nEEUiJ7Uly

"The words of Late Sheikh Zayed, 'Egypt's renaissance is a renaissance for all Arabs,' remain just as powerful and relevant today as when they were first spoken. His enduring love for Egypt has seeped into the heart of Emiratis nation-wide," Al Neyadi tweeted.
"As I gaze down from space on this land, I extend my greetings to Egypt and its warm people," he added.
In the video, Al Neyadi zooms in on Cairo during nighttime.
"Let us zoom at Cairo from space. As you can see the Nile Delta has taken the shape of a flower," Al Neyadi said in Arabic.
"Cairo is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited in my life. It is shining bright. May God keep them safe and sound," he added.
The Crew-6 mission by NASA to the ISS lifted off on Thursday, March 2nd, at 9.34 am UAE time from Launch Complex 39A at the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida, aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft Endeavour, carried by the company’s Falcon 9 rocket.
They arrived at the orbiting laboratory on Friday, March 3rd, for a six-month mission, the Arab world's first long-duration space trip.
