A Filipino man accused of sexually exploiting 120 children has been arrested in Dubai. Philippine DILG Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos Jr. announced the capture during a community event on September 8.

International Cooperation Leads to Arrest

The suspect, who was on Interpol’s wanted list, was detained with the help of UAE authorities. Abalos revealed that the man used Facebook to lure minors, some as young as 10, into exploitation. This case highlights the need for global collaboration to tackle cross-border crimes.

Impact on the Fight Against Human Trafficking

Abalos praised the arrest as a major success in the ongoing battle against human trafficking. He emphasized that offenders have no safe place and will face justice wherever they go. The suspect’s identity has not been disclosed, but over 100 victims from various locations in the Philippines have been identified.

The suspect allegedly sold exploitative content to international buyers and received payments online. The arrest followed an Interpol Red Notice. UAE authorities have yet to release an official statement.
