Ramadan Private Sector Hours Announced

UAE's Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has announced the working hours for private sector employees during the holy month of Ramadan.

Typically, private sector employees work eight hours a day, which would be reduced by two during the holy month, the ministry added.

MoHRE added that companies could also implement remote work systems during the holy month in line with the limits of the daily working hours during Ramadan.

On Friday, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) announced that employees at ministries and federal agencies will work five and a half hours from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. from Monday to Thursday during the month, and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

The holy month of Ramadan is expected to start on March 23rd and end on April 21st. The dates are subject to change on the basis of moon sightings.
