UAE Announces Islamic New Year 2023 Holidays for the Private Sector

The UAE's Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) announced that Friday, Jul 21 will be a holiday for private sector employees to celebrate the Islamic New Year 2023.
The Islamic New Year 1445 falls on Jul. 19, but the public holiday has been given on Jul. 21, which will give workers a three-day long weekend to relax.
The holiday for private sector employees falls on the same day as the holiday for public sector employees.
The MoHRE also shared that the Islamic New Year holiday will be a paid holiday for private-sector workers.
The upcoming public holiday in the UAE is the Prophet Mohammed's (PBUH) birthday, which will fall on Friday, Sep. 29 and will give employees another long weekend to enjoy.
