As tensions rise between Iran and Israel, several UAE airlines, including Emirates, Etihad Airways, and flydubai, are adjusting flight schedules.
Etihad Airways has canceled flights to Tel Aviv and Amman and rerouted others to circumvent closed airspace in the region.
"Etihad Airways flights only operate through approved airspace. Safety is always our highest priority and we would never operate a flight unless it was safe to do so," a representative for the airline told The National.
Similarly, Emirates and flydubai have announced cancellations and diversions, ensuring minimal disruption for passengers.
The airspace closures have led to flight delays and reroutes, affecting travel to Europe and North America. As a result, flights are being redirected via alternate routes, typically via Saudi Arabia and Egypt, potentially extending travel times.
Passengers are advised to stay informed about flight updates and expect possible delays or changes to their travel itineraries.
