UAE's Guinness World Records During New Year's Eve
The UAE hosted a series of outstanding events and shows to welcome 2022, and 2 Emirates smashed Guinness World Records:
Sheikh Zayed Festival - Abu Dhabi
Sheikh Zayed Festival visitors had an exceptional experience within the first minutes of the New Year with a phenomenal fireworks display that allowed Sheikh Zayed Festival to set three Guinness World Records in volume, duration, and form. Sheikh Zayed Festival fireworks display 2022 was held in Al Wathba, and it stayed for 40-minutes. Furthermore, visitors enjoyed the drone show using 2022 drones which made it the first show of its kind, under the theme "WELCOME 2022".
RAKNYE 2022 - Ras Al Khaimah
The other Guinness World Records during UAE 2022 New Year's celebration was smashed by Ras Al Khaimah New Yeas celebration which was organized by Ras Al Khaimah New Year's Eve 2022 team. The 2 world records were for:
- The Highest Altitude Multirotor/Drone Firework Display.
- The Most Remote Operated Multirotors/Drones Launching Fireworks Simultaneously.
The public enjoyed a 12-minutes fireworks display that spanned over 4.7 kilometers above the Arabian Gulf, included 15,000 fireworks effects, over 130 sea pontoons, and a fleet of hundreds of pyrotechnic drones.
The second Guinness World Record was taken for the Most Remote Operated Multirotors/Drones Launching Fireworks Simultaneously launched by 452 drones to create the ‘Happy New Year’ visual in the sky.
