Pentagon press secretary Maj. Gen. Patrick Ryder has announced intentions to dispatch American soldiers to the temporary Gaza port, citing potential necessity for up to 1,000 personnel over the next 60 days.

“If Hamas truly does care about the Palestinian people, then again, one would hope that this international mission to deliver aid to people who need it would be able to happen and unhindered,” Ryder said.

Additionally, President Biden has confirmed that Israeli forces will secure the "temporary" port to facilitate aid delivery to Gaza, despite prior restrictions on aid shipments.

The decision to involve Israeli forces, previously accused of obstructing aid and exacerbating humanitarian crises in Gaza, has raised concerns.

This move aligns with broader objectives, including the extraction of natural resources off Gaza's coast.

Israeli media reports indicate stalled progress in the Gaza invasion, prompting speculation about potential collaboration between US troops and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
