The UAE has called for remote work on Thursday, May 2 and Friday, May 3 because of the weather forecast of heavy rainfall.
Government employees will work remotely on Thursday except for those roles that require physical presence, according to Sharjah's government media office.
The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority issued guidance for schools, universities, and the public and private sectors.

Private schools in Dubai and Sharjah will have remote learning on Thursday and Friday because of the weather forecast.
All government schools across the UAE will also have remote learning on both days. Public parks will also be closed on both days.
