His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, ordered the pardon of 505 convicts from the correctional and penal institutions in Dubai of various nationalities, on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha.
The Attorney General of the Emirate of Dubai, Counselor Issam Issa Al Humaidan, stressed that the order of pardon comes out of the keenness of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to bring happiness to the hearts of the families, and children of those covered by the pardon on such occasions in which the values of tolerance and forgiveness are manifested, provided that the released adhere to the right path to continue their lives once again as useful individuals for themselves and their community within the framework of full respect for the law and compliance with its provisions, which are the mainstay in maintaining the security and stability of society.
The Attorney General of the Emirate of Dubai explained that the Public Prosecution immediately began coordinating with the General Command of Dubai Police to end the amnesty procedures as soon as possible, calling on those covered by the amnesty to set an example in self-reflection and insistence on returning to the path of righteousness and avoiding any violations that may put them again under the law.
