Many countries of the world impose fines on violations committed by their citizens and visitors, most of which are due to traffic or environmental violations, but it is noteworthy that some of these fines may be very harsh and amount to 100,000 dollars, equivalent to 365 thousand Qatari riyals.

Among the highest fines in the world are the penalties stipulated by a number of laws in Qatar for some serious traffic violations.

In this report, we list for you a list of the most expensive fines in the world:

(1) $2,700 for throwing garbage in public places in Qatar

If you are in a public park or field in the State of Qatar, do not take risks and throw waste in places other than those designated for it, as Public Hygiene Law No. (18) of 2017 states that “it shall be punished by imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months, and a fine not exceeding (10,000) ten thousand riyals, throwing or leaving waste in public places, squares, and the like.

If you visit the charming Akliman Beach in the city of Sinop in northern Turkey and caught your attention by the strange white lilies emerging from the sand, do not even think about picking one of them; It may cost you an amount equivalent to about 6 thousand dollars!

(5) $3,400 for taking sand and gravel in Italy

Many of us like to collect some shells and pebbles from the beaches they visit as a kind of souvenir, but if you have this hobby, do not be reckless and carry souvenirs from the beaches of Sardinia in Italy, as anyone who takes shells, pebbles or even sand from those beaches will be fined an amount of $3,482.

(6) $1,000 for chewing gum in Singapore

Can you believe that chewing gum in Singapore can lead to a fine of $1,000? In Singapore, the government imposes harsh fines on anyone caught chewing gum, arguing that the gum makes roads and sidewalks very dirty.
