Teenagers Stranded in Ras Al Khaimah Mountains Successfully Rescued


Two hikers who were stranded in Wadi Quda'ah in Ras Al Khaimah have been flown to safety.

After receiving an emergency call on Wednesday afternoon, the Ras Al Khaimah Police initiated a search and rescue operation.
The 16 and 17-year-old trekkers were located in the rough mountainous region, with one of them suffering from severe heat exhaustion.
He received the required first aid, and the two were then taken to Saqr Hospital for additional tests.
The head of the search and rescue division of Ras Al Khaimah Police Major Abdullah Al Saman urged people to use caution when visiting hilly locations, especially in the summer.
He also advised hikers to bring along enough water to prevent dehydration.
