Syria and Türkiye Earthquake Victims to Receive $100M of Aid From UAE

President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan directed on Tuesday the distribution of $100 million to help with earthquake relief operations in Turkiye and Syria.
Sheikh Mohamed directed the sending of $50 million to aid those in Turkey and $50 million to aid those in Syria according to state news agency WAM.
On Monday, through the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, approved humanitarian relief totaling Dh50 million on Monday to aid Syrians. Seven aid flights, including two that will land in Damascus, are being sent by the UAE to assist with search and rescue efforts in Turkey and Syria.
More than 6,000 people have died as a result of Monday's earthquake, which wreaked havoc on neighboring nations. Countries from all around the world are working together to give the victims, a large number of whom lost their houses, resources to survive the extreme weather.
