Emirati astronaut Dr. Sultan Al Neyadi, along with his colleagues from the NASA and SpaceX Crew-6 team, will exit the International Space Station (ISS) to relocate the Dragon capsule on May 6th.
The team will include Dr. Al Neyadi, Stephen Bowen, Woody Hoburg, and Andrey Fedyaev.
Dr. Al Neyadi and his colleagues will leave the space station from the space-facing port Harmony Port at 3 p.m. GST. The team will move the Dragon capsule to the Harmony port approximately 43 minutes later.
The Mission Control Centre at Nasa's Johnson Space Centre in Houston will support the task, which will make room for the docking of the Dragon cargo craft, which is scheduled to blast off in June.
The task will involve the astronauts putting on their spacesuits to enter the capsule and fly it to its new docking position.
This is another important task for Dr. Al Neyadi after he completed his first spacewalk on April 28th, which made him the first Arab to do so.
