Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, has been declared the first Bollywood "Blockbuster" of 2023. By the second day, the entertaining spy thriller, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, had broken and established numerous records.
Republic Day contributed to an increase in Pathaan's Day 2 Box Office Collection. The opening day of Pathaan broke all previous records, surpassing those of KGF 2, War, Avengers: Endgame, and Thugs of Hindustan by collecting Rs. 57 Crore in India and Rs 35 cr ($4.2 mi) Overseas. It collected over $ 1.6 Million in the UAE and GCC countries.
Pathaan is also the first Indian film to top the UK box office at #1 on 25th Jan with £320k (₹3.2 crores), followed by Avatar 2 at £243k.

As per the early estimates for Day 2, Pathaan could become the highest-grosser and break all Bollywood records by having a collection of more than Rs. 65 Crore, which is more than $7 million in a single day!
