1.What would you say is the most difficult part of being a motivational speaker?

Staying motivated yourself is the hardest part. Sometimes we motivational speakers fall into the trap of not being inspired enough ourselves to inspire others. We are human after all; sometimes it happens that I am scheduled to go on stage and suddenly, an incident that happens right before my talk takes a toll on my mood.

In those instances, I just have to shake it off, switch on my “turn your pain into power” mode, and once I’m on stage or in front of the camera, lose myself into the moment. Inspiring others to believe in themselves, their dreams and their abilities to achieve their goals truly is the fuel that keeps my motivation alive!

2.What one word best sums up you and your vision?

BRAVE. You need to be brave to face sudden changes in your life, keep the faith and never ever give up during the lowest times and recognize the opportunities to rise again! Bravery and faith are hand in hand.

3.What motivates you to do what you do?

I believe in the good in people. I am convinced that everyone has a story to tell, and that brands can actually amplify these stories by creating a platform for marginalized individuals to tell their story. What motivates me are my two boys. I want them to live in a world where humanity is celebrated, not frowned upon, in financial-related meetings. Everyone deserves fair and equal opportunities, and we all have a role to play. Mine is working with youth to develop their skills for the job market of the future and enabling organizations to invest in their communities for a more empowered society.

4.What is the secret to staying positive? Any upcoming projects?

The secret to staying positive is my faith. I believe that staying positive always attracts positively on your life. Manifest your own happiness and you will prosper.

I am currently working on a regional project that focuses on real changemakers creating real impact in our communities. Stay tuned!
