Sheikh Zayed Road to be Temporarily Closed for COP28

Sheikh Zayed Road will be temporarily closed from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. from Dec. 1 to Dec. 3 for COP 28, which will begin on Nov. 30.
Sheikh Zayed Road will be closed between the Trade Center Roundabout and the Expo Intersection during this period.
The temporary closure of Sheikh Zayed Road is among the various traffic diversions being implemented by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for the UAE Union Day and COP28.
Alternative Routes
RTA has encouraged motorists to use alternative routes, which are:
- Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road
- Emirates Road
- Al Khail Road
- Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Road
- Jumeirah Road
- Al Wasl Road
Public Transportation
If the alternative route takes longer, the RTA has advised the public to use the metro and other means of public transportation for their travel.
