The Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed has been named among the 100 most influential in artificial intelligence (AI) in a new list by TIME magazine.
Sheikh Tahnoun is the chairman of Abu Dhabi's leading artificial intelligence and cloud computing group, G42, which received a $1.5 billion investment from Microsoft in April this year.
He was named in the list alongside CHATGPT creator Sam Altman and Meta chief executive Mark Zuckerberg.
The Adviser for Strategic Research and Advanced Technology Affairs, Faisal Al Bannai was also named in the TIME list. Al Bannai is also the chairman of the board of directors of Edge Group, which is an Abu Dhabi-based defence and technology company.
Sheikh Tahnoun was named in the 'shapers' category, while Al Bannai was named in the 'leader' category.
