The Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed has approved the latest developments for Hatta to transform it into a major tourist attraction.
Some of the development projects that were approved include a private school and a new neighborhood council for Hatta's residents.
Sheikh Hamdan said, "Hatta boasts various distinctive potentials, and we aim to leverage them to ensure the accomplishment of its ambitious developmental goals outlined in the Dubai Urban Plan 2040."
The Development Projects in Hatta
The private school will have state-of-the-art facilities for 700 to 1,000 students.
The new neighborhood council will act as a collective forum for the local society.
The Hatta Beach Project is also underway and spans an area of 53,000 square meters. The beach itself covers an area of more than 10,000 square meters alongside an artificial lake.
The Hatta Master Development Plan is part of Dubai's 2040 Master Urban Plan and it will help draw investment and tourism to Hatta.
Other development projects that are planned to be constructed in Hatta include a cable railway, 120 km bicycle tracks, and many hotels.
