Sharjah will host its first-ever Festival of African Literature in January 2025.
The festival will take place from Jan. 24 to Jan. 27 opposite the University City Hall / Parking Area with the theme 'The Tale of Africa'.
The festival will host more than 20 African authors and novelists, including Nobel laureates of literature, to strengthen cultural exchange between the Arab World and Africa.
Two Nobel laureates Tanzanian writer Abdulrazak Gurnah and Nigerian writer Wole Soyinka will be at the festival.
The festival will feature panel discussions, children's workshops, musical concerts, art exhibitions, and much more.
