Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) held its weekly meeting, headed by H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of SEC where it announced the launch of the Sharjah 2022 census project, which supports the process of comprehensive development plans by accessing comprehensive data on population, buildings, housing and other data that support the Government of Sharjah.
SEC directed all government departments in the Emirate of Sharjah to provide the necessary support for the Sharjah 2022 census project.

The council issued Decision No. (25) of 2022 to amend Decision No. (17) of 2018 on regulating social service professions in the Emirate of Sharjah. The new decision stipulates reducing a number of special fees included in the decision.
The meeting discussed a proposal for the 51st National Day of the country to celebrate the UAE's achievements. The festivities include organising a set of various events over 10 days in all cities and regions of the emirate.
