The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) issued a statement on Friday stating that Ramadan class schedules in Dubai should not include more than five hours of teaching time per day.

While most schools will run from 9 am to 2 pm every day, individual primary and secondary schools are permitted to alter the hours to the best school hours for their students and their parents during the month of Ramadan. However, in order to facilitate Friday prayers, educational institutions must remain closed by noon on Fridays.
This year, only eight days will be spent in class for UAE students during the month of Ramadan. On Monday, March 27, through Thursday, April 13, school students will not have to attend classes due to Spring Break 2023.
The holy month of Ramadan is expected to start on March 23 and end on April 21. The dates are subject to change on the basis of moon sightings.
