Salik Clears the Air
The viral post in question laid out supposed time slots and toll charges, claiming “Be prepared to say goodbye to AED 4 Salik rates.” The note included details like zero charges between 3 AM and 5 AM, and higher rates of AED 8 from 3 PM to 7 PM. However, Salik’s CEO has been clear: none of these details are true.
"We wish to clarify that the publications being circulated on some social media platforms are inaccurate," Al Haddad said in a statement published by the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) on Wednesday.
Trust Official Sources
Salik is urging its customers and shareholders to avoid falling for unofficial information spread online. Instead, the company advises referring to official sources, such as the Dubai Financial Market and Salik’s own website (www.salik.ae), for accurate news and updates.
“We strongly advise customers and shareholders to refer exclusively to official sources, the DFM and Salik website, for any official announcements or updates,” said Al Haddad. “Salik is fully committed to adhering to the disclosure and transparency guidelines set by the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) and DFM. As always, any significant information will be promptly shared with the market first once confirmed and finalised.”
