Due to fallen rocks blocking the main route, the road leading to Khorfakkan's Al Suhub Rest Area was temporarily closed, according to a statement from the Sharjah Police. Heavy rainfall in the region was the reason for the rock fall.
The police reaffirmed in a series of tweets that everyone who visited the rest house was safe and that there was nothing to be concerned about. According to reports in Arabic media that cited officials, authorities are cleaning the rocks to make room for a section of the road that will allow visitors to descend.
