Oxford University Press has declared the word 'rizz' as its word of the year for 2023!
Rizz means 'style, charm or attractiveness' or 'someone’s ability to attract a romantic partner'.
The word beat other competitors like 'Swifie', 'situationship' and 'prompt' to secure the word of the year title.
Rizz is the short version of the word 'charisma', which went viral after the Spider-Man star Tom Holland used it in an interview.

Not only did the interview generate hilarious memes, but it also increased the usage of the word.
According to the Oxford University Press, the use of the word 'rizz' surged by a factor of 15 from 2022.
