Social media platforms went crazy after a Dubai restaurant bill worth a shocking total of AED 620,926.61 (approximately USE $170,000) on New Year's Eve went viral.

Dubai restaurateur Mert Turkmen, posted the below Instagram story on his personal account, highlighting a bill from Gal restaurant in Address Downtown hotel on 2023 New Year's Eve, captioning it "Not first, not last."
It is unclear at this time whether Mert, who is believed to be the owner of the restaurant, merely posted a picture of the bill, or if he is the one who footed the bill for this 18-guest table.
The first time an absurd bill of this kind became viral on social media was after a lavish night of dining at Abu Dhabi's well-known Nusr-Et Steakhouse. An unidentified party of eaters said that the price was a mouthwatering AED 615,065.
