Ready for an Amazing Concert Influenced by Gulf Folklore?
The event will be held at the Katara Opera House on August 27 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO) is returning with yet another gorgeous musical performance, but this time, it is inspired by Gulf music.
On August 27, the band will present a special musical composition for the first time that fuses western symphonic music with typical Gulf folklore genres in an effort to enhance and preserve Khaleeji music.
By taking its cues from the traditional melody known as "Fijiri," which is associated with pearl divers and the water, the music, according to QPO, will notably showcase Qatar's long naval history.
The music for the eagerly anticipated occasion was composed by Nasser Sahim, the Philharmonic's deputy executive director, and featured vocals by Kuwaiti physician Amer Jaffar and Qatari vocalist Mansour Al Mohanadi.
Sahim has established a solid musical career through a variety of endeavors. About 30 singles have been released by him in the Gulf as a vocalist and composer, in addition to album consists of 12 songs.

While Kamoliddin Urinbae will take the lead, a traditional Gulf percussion ensemble will perform as part of the occasion under the leadership of Dr. Faisal Ibrahim Al Tamimi, a composer, conductor, and authority on Qatari heritage and the arts.
Conductor Kamoliddin Urinbaev, who also acts as the group's creative director and main conductor, formed the Uzbek Youth Symphony Orchestra. He began studying the gijakei violin at the Glier RSMAL, which was his introduction to music. He graduated from the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan with bachelor's and master's degrees in conducting and gijak, respectively, in 2007 and 2009.
Urinbayev was given the honorific title of "Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan" by presidential decree in December 2014.
The cost of tickets for the third balcony is QAR 75, the second balcony is QAR 125, the side, middle, and upper orchestra is QAR 125, the front orchestra is QAR 175 and the center orchestra is QAR 200. Through QPO, all tickets may be ordered online.
