Ras Al Khaimah is gearing up to host its longest New Year’s Eve show yet, featuring a stunning combination of fireworks and laser drone displays. The 15-minute spectacle, set to unfold in three acts, aims to set new world records while showcasing the emirate’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Drones and fireworks light up the sky
The show, themed ‘Our Story in the Sky,’ will use advanced drone artistry and creative laser technology to form symbols representing Ras Al Khaimah’s rich heritage. The waterfront display, stretching from Marjan Island to Al Hamra Village, will be brought to life by SKYMAGIC for the drones and Grucci for the fireworks.
Free festival entry and family zones
Entry to the NYE festival is free, with special zones set up for families and individuals. Visitors can enjoy live music, kids’ activities, and a variety of food trucks. For added convenience, six free parking zones accommodating over 20,000 vehicles are available, but pre-registration for parking is required online.
Camping and BBQ areas for visitors
At Rams Parking, visitors can use free BBQ facilities and designated camping areas. Those with caravans, RVs, or tents can also set up overnight at the Dhayah Parking zone, making it a perfect spot for families and groups to celebrate.
Building on last year’s success
Last year, Ras Al Khaimah’s NYE show earned two Guinness World Records: the ‘Longest chain of aquatic floating fireworks’ and the ‘Longest straight-line drones display.’ This year’s event promises to be even bigger, offering a memorable start to 2025 for residents and visitors alike.
