Starting from March 1st, motorists in Ras Al Khaimah will face stricter penalties for certain traffic violations, with stiffer rules announced by Ras Al Khaimah Police.

For participants in marches or parades violating traffic regulations, their vehicles will be impounded for 15 to 120 days, requiring a payment ranging from AED 1,000 to AED 10,000 for release. Driving without a number plate or using a fake one will result in a 120-day vehicle seizure, with a release fee of AED 20,000.

Cars and motorcycles with illegal modifications or speed boosters will face a 60-day confiscation, and the release cost is set at AED 5,000.

The new regulations extend to penalties for abandoning vehicles and selling them in unauthorized areas, aiming to enhance adherence to traffic laws and public safety. These measures emphasize the significance of responsible driving behavior and compliance with established regulations to ensure road safety and discourage violations through impactful penalties.
