QFA Inaugurates “Al Annabi Village" Event to Support the Qatar National Team in The World Cup
Qatar Football Association inaugurated Al Annabi Village event in Msheireb as part of its promotional campaign to support the Qatari national team in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The official opening took place by raising the Qatar flag at 8:22 (20:22) in reference to the 2022 World Cup, after the country's national anthem was played.
The event included many activities for the fans, including a football corner, a mini-pitch, and electronic games, in addition to an exhibition that monitors the history of the Qatari team and the stages it has gone through, and the most prominent achievements achieved by "Al Adaam" during the past years, in addition to a mural that includes many clippings from the official newspapers that narrate the successes achieved by the team.
The trophies that the team previously won were also shown, namely; the 2019 Asian Cup and the Gulf Cup in the eleventh and seventeenth editions, in addition to displaying shirts for the Qatari national team during various previous eras, including what is signed by former and current players.
The opening ceremony witnessed the presence of a large number of Al-Adaam fans who enjoyed the various activities organized by the Qatar Football Association in cooperation with Qatar Shell.
Dr. Hafez Ali, Director of Marketing and Communications at Msheireb Properties, said that the village is the result of great cooperation between the Qatar football association and Shell in order to support the Qatari team in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, noting that the opening was special, and its time bore a great symbolism represented in the clock (20:22) which refers to the World Cup, pointing out that the village will serve as a headquarters for the Qatari and resident fans who will stand behind the team in the World Cup.
He explained that the village will receive fans daily from four in the afternoon until eleven at night and that it will continue until December 18, the date final match of the World Cup, which coincides with the National Day of the State of Qatar, pointing out that cooperation with the Qatar Association will not stop at the village of Annabi, where there will be other activities during the next few days that aim to support the Qatar national team as well as introduce the cultural and sports heritage in the State of Qatar.
It is noteworthy that the Qatar Football Association had earlier launched a promotional campaign to support the Qatari team in the World Cup, which included many activities in addition to the launch of the digital content platform with a new vision to support the Qatari team in the World Cup in a new and modern way directed to the football audience in its various segments to ensure communicate with the fans, and provide content worthy of the national team.
