Qatar Tourism to Launch Multi-City Roadshow Across Saudi Arabia
The most renowned hospitality operators in Saudi Arabia will now be able to see Qatar's dynamic and quickly developing array of options thanks to Qatar Tourism (QTintroduction)'s multi-city tour across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
A 14-person delegation of the best hotels and DMCs in Qatar will travel to three cities in the Kingdom under the leadership of QT in collaboration with Qatar Airways. The team, which also includes representatives from Discover Qatar, Banana Island Resort Doha, and the Ritz-Carlton Sharq Village, seeks to update the main figures in Saudi Arabia's tourism sector on the expansion of Qatar's hospitality business.
The roadshow will be hosted in Riyadh at the Hyatt Regency Riyadh on August 28, in Jeddah at the Movenpick Hotel on August 30, and in Dammam at the Movenpick Al Khobar on September 1st. The times of the three events are roughly 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. AST.
Infrastructure and hotel projects are progressing quickly as Qatar gets ready to host more than a million guests for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM. In addition, Saudi Arabian tourists continue to find Qatar to be a popular destination, with their country accounting for the majority of all foreign arrivals in Qatar.
"We are excited to go with our valued partners at Qatar Airways for this roadshow. In Qatar, which is hosting the FIFA World CupTM for the first time, there is a palpable feeling of possibility, growth, and enthusiasm. And as our most recent visitor statistics indicate, our GCC neighbors, particularly Saudi Arabia, are thronging to see the enormous amount of change taking place right outside their doors. We can't wait to show our amazing friends in the Kingdom the very best of Qatari hospitality,” Philip Dickinson, International Markets said at Qatar Tourism.
Currently, Qatar Airways offers more than 100 flights every week to five important Saudi Arabian destinations. The state-owned airline has recently resumed service to Qassim and added four more flights to Riyadh, bringing the total frequency to 20 flights per week. This is part of the airline's ongoing efforts to broaden its services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and meet the rising demand for inbound and outbound travel by giving customers more options and seamless connectivity.
Through the World's Best Airport, Hamad International Airport, travelers flying into and out of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will experience seamless connection to more than 150 locations across the airline's vast global network in Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. Avios, the airline's newly integrated rewards currency, gives customers even more chances to accrue points and take advantage of cutting-edge technologies when redeeming their rewards. Additionally, members of the Qatar Airways loyalty program will keep their earned rewards balance and be able to take advantage of the redemption options going forward.
In the upcoming months, a number of top-notch hotels as well as several new travel and hospitality opportunities will open. The Qetaifan Island North, West Bay North Beach, and Lusail Winter Wonderland are just a few examples of how Qatar is well-positioned to meet its target of receiving six million tourists by 2030.
