The Dubai government has introduced the 'Work Bundle' digital platform to expedite the issuance of work permits for private sector employees, reducing processing time from 30 to five days.

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) revealed that the platform would streamline transactions, requiring only five documents instead of 16, with visits to service centers reduced to two from seven.

The initiative integrates various government entities, including the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, Dubai Health, and the Department of Economy and Tourism.

Implemented initially in Dubai through the "Invest in Dubai" platform, the project aligns with the "Zero Bureaucracy" initiative, focusing on simplifying government processes. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum emphasized that the endeavor aims to eliminate bureaucracy, streamline services, and save time for both the public and private sectors.

The comprehensive approach is expected to recover 62 million working days and reduce 25 million procedures annually, resulting in substantial efficiencies and cost savings. The collaborative effort underscores the commitment to enhancing people's lives by minimizing bureaucratic hurdles.
