Philippine President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. landed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday morning for a working visit aimed at strengthening ties between the two nations.
According to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), Marcos' flight landed at 2:06 AM UAE time. During this visit, he is set to meet with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, to discuss various diplomatic and economic matters.
Key Officials Accompany Marcos
Joining President Marcos on this important trip are several key government figures, including former Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos, who is known for his close connections with the UAE royal family. Also part of the delegation are Environment Secretary Toni Loyzaga, National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA) Chairperson Vic Manalo, and Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Charles Jose.
