The Philippines’ First Lady, Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos, recently visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. Known for its stunning architecture and dedication to promoting coexistence, tolerance, and cultural openness, the mosque is a symbol of the late Founding Father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's vision.
Gifts Received by the First Lady
During her visit, First Lady Araneta-Marcos was presented with two notable publications. The first, a collection of winning photographs from the “Spaces of Light” photography award. The second, titled “Houses of God,” delves into the history of places of worship in Islamic culture.
Accompanied by Officials
The First Lady was accompanied by Alfonso Ferdinand, the Philippine Ambassador to the UAE; Mohamed Obaid Alqataam Alzaabi, the UAE Ambassador to the Philippines; Dr. Yousef Al Obaidli, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre; and other high-ranking officials.
