The Palm Jebel Ali in Dubai has had 700 villa units sold out, which puts The Palm on the course to launch in 2026.
The project's developer Nakheel has been granted a contract worth AED810 million to complete marine works.
The work for the main road connecting the island to Sheikh Zayed Road is also underway.
Palm Jebel Ali is estimated to be three times the size of Palm Jumeirah. The island had 16 fronds and multiple other islands, seeing interest from wealthy European and Asian investors.
Each villa unit is being sold between AED20 million and AED50 million. The project will span 13.4km, featuring 16 fronds and 91 kilometres of beachfront, aligning with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan's goal of expanding public beach access.
Palm Jebel Ali has recorded a three to five percent quarter-on-quarter price increase since the fourth quarter of 2023, from AED2,578 per square foot to AED2,717 per square foot in the first quarter to AED2,794 by the end of the second quarter.
