Palestinian-Chilean singer Elyanna appeared on "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" Wednesday, marking her first performance on U.S. television. She performed a medley of songs, including "Callin’ U (Tamally Maak)" and "Mama Eh."

Elyanna's rendition of "Mama Eh" was notable for being the first song performed entirely in Arabic on "The Late Show," according to the show's YouTube page.
Cultural Representation
Elyanna, 22 years old singer born in Nazareth, began her set in English. She then transitioned to Arabic for the second song, where a backup singer presented her with a keffiyeh, a traditional Palestinian scarf. Elyanna wore the keffiyeh around her head as she continued her performance.
Album Promotion
After the performance, host Stephen Colbert showcased Elyanna's debut album, "Woledto," which means "I am born," before closing the show.
