Palestinian Journalist Wael Al Dahdouh Arrives in Doha

Palestinian journalist and Chief Bureau of Al Jazeera in Gaza Wael Al Dahdouh arrived in Doha, Qatar on Tuesday, Jan. 16 for medical treatment.
Al Dahdouh's exit from Gaza was facilitated by Egypt through Rafah, from where Al Dahdouh travelled to Qatar on an Emiri Air Force jet.
Upon his arrival in Doha, Al Dahdouh was greeted by his colleagues from Al Jazeera, including his close friend Tamer Almisshal.
Al Dahdouh was welcomed with warm embraces in Doha after he was bid farewell with well-wishes and hugs from the journalists in Gaza including Belal Khaled.
Al Dahdouh was injured during an Israeli airstrike on Dec. 15, 2023, at Al Farhana School in Khan Younis, Gaza.
Al Dahdouh lost four members of his family on Oct. 25, 2023, and his son Hamza Al Dahdouh on Jan. 7, 2023.
The Chief Bureau was awarded the Freedom of Press Award for 2024 for shedding light on the Palestinians' suffering in Gaza.
