Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem won a gold medal in the men's javelin throw final at the Paris Olympics, making a new Olympic record with 92.97m.
Nadeem has won the first-ever gold medal for Pakistan at the Olympics. He made the Olympic record throw on the second attempt, while on his final attempt, he got a distance of 91.79m. He broke the 90m mark twice in the final.
India's Neeraj Chopra secured a silver medal with 89.45m. He had won gold in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, making this his second Olympic medal.
Grenada's Anderson Peters secured the bronze medal with a throw covering a distance of 88.54m.
