Paid Parking & Public Transport Timings in Ramadan Revealed
RTA Announces Adjustments for Holy Month in Dubai: Know the Updated Hours for Parking and Transportation.
Dubai residents gearing up for the holy month of Ramadan can now plan their commutes accordingly as the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announces crucial adjustments in paid parking hours and public transportation schedules across the emirate.

Ahead of the anticipated start of Ramadan on either Monday, March 11th, or Tuesday, March 12th, RTA has unveiled modifications to various services, including customer happiness centers, paid parking zones, public buses, Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, marine transport, and service provider centers for technical testing.
Paid Parking Timings:
During Ramadan in Dubai, paid parking hours will undergo changes as follows:
- Monday to Saturday: 8 am to 6 pm (First shift) and 8 pm to midnight (Second shift)
- Sunday: Free parking
However, Tecom-regulated zones will maintain their regular timings with fees applicable from 8 am to 6 pm. Multi-level car parking lots will remain operational 24/7.
Public Transportation Updates:
Dubai Metro:
The Dubai Metro's Red and Green Line stations will operate as usual during Ramadan, adhering to the following schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 5 am to midnight
- Friday: 5 am to 1 am (the following day)
- Saturday: 5 am to midnight
- Sunday: 8 am to midnight
Dubai Tram:
The Dubai Tram will maintain its regular schedule throughout Ramadan, with the following timings:
- Monday to Saturday: 6 am to 1 am (the following day)
- Sunday: 9 am to 1 am (the following day)
Dubai Bus:
Dubai Bus timings will be adjusted during Ramadan:
- Monday to Friday: 4:30 am to 12:30 am (the following day)
- Saturday and Sunday: 6 am to 1 am (the following day)
Note: Metro Feeder buses will align with the first and last metro timings.
Intercity Buses:
RTA has confirmed operation of select intercity bus routes to destinations including Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, and Hatta.
Additional Services:
Water Bus, Abras, Water Taxi, and Dubai Ferry will also observe amended timings you can check here.
RTA Customer Happiness Centres:
Operating hours for RTA centers in Umm Ramool, Al Tawar, Al Manara, Deira, and Al Barsha are as follows:
- Monday to Thursday: 9 am to 5 pm
- Friday: 9 am to 12 pm/.00
- Smart Centres at Umm Ramool, Al Manara, Deira, Barsha, Al Kifaf, and the head office will remain accessible 24/7, ensuring continuous support and service provision to residents throughout Ramadan.
