Tips for a Smooth Travel Experience
To handle the holiday rush, DXB has implemented measures to ensure a smooth journey for all passengers. Here are some tips to help you navigate the airport during this busy period:
1. Check-in Early
-
Emirates passengers can use home check-in, early check-in, or city check-in facilities.
-
Travelers flying with other airlines should arrive at the airport no earlier than three hours before their departure time.
2. Follow Security Guidelines
-
Save time by placing metal items and electronics in your hand luggage before security checks.
-
Comply with LAGs (liquids, aerosols, and gels) regulations.
-
Carry portable electronic devices, power banks, and spare batteries in your hand luggage; these items are not allowed in checked luggage.
3. Use Smart Gates
-
Families traveling with children aged 12 and above can expedite passport control by using Smart Gates.
4. Plan Ahead
-
Organize travel documents and check your airline’s baggage allowance to avoid last-minute surprises.
5. Avoid Congestion
-
Opt for the Dubai Metro for convenient access to Terminals 1 and 3.
-
Say your goodbyes at home, as only passengers will be allowed inside the terminals during peak periods.
