The Sultanate has experienced more than 700 infections a day of COVID-19 cases this month with the number of infections crossing 100,000. Therefore, Oman’s supreme committee responsible for COVID-19 has ordered a two-week night curfew to hopefully reduce the rise in cases.
As said in the statement, all beaches in the country will remain shut until further notice. The 8pm to 5am curfew came into effect yesterday, October 11, and will continue until October 24.
