A new initiative has been introduced by two municipal centers in Abu Dhabi, aiming to enhance the well-being of workers.
Operating under the banner of 'Our Workers, Our Care', the Madinat Zayed and Al Wathba municipal centers are providing relief to laborers working in the intense summer heat as part of their initiative.
The workers were provided with water, juices, ice cream, and sun umbrellas as part of the initiative.
These packages are being distributed by the authority across multiple locations, bringing smiles to the people’s faces as they receive food packages and ice cream treats.
Earlier, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation unveiled a program to establish 356 rest stations, equipped with essential services for delivery drivers across the UAE.
The Ministry stated that this initiative shows a shared commitment to the safety and well-being of delivery workers, protecting them from heat exhaustion during the summer months, especially around noon when a ban on working under direct sunlight and in open areas is implemented from 12.30 pm to 3 pm from June 15 to September 15.
